Covid-19: Edenred takes action for employees and restaurants

The initiative by Edenred Portugal, a global leader in payment solutions for the business market, aims to boost the economy and promote responsible behavior in the context of the pandemic caused by the new Coronavirus.
- Edenred is taking steps to support its teams, its partners, its customers and users during this unprecedented health and economic crisis, resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
- The teams are working hard to ensure business continuity for customers and their employees and partners.
- Innovative and adapted programs developed in record time.
- Launch of a series of initiatives to help the community.
- Creation of the “More than Ever” fund to support the group’s most vulnerable employees, as well as the owners of restaurants that have been significantly affected by the state of emergency measures. The fund will be financed through:
– A 20% reduction in the proposed dividend for 2019.
– A reduction in the remuneration of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, in accordance with the recommendations of the AFEP – Association Française des Entreprises Privées.
– A reduction in the remuneration of the members of the Group Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. - The General Assembly will be held behind closed doors on May 7, 2020.
