Is Edenred Creche regulated?

Yes, Edenred Creche is regulated by Decree-Law 26/99 of January 28. This decree-law allows companies to grant childcare solutions, which aim to help employees with early childhood and education expenses for their children or dependents.

Edenred Creche can be granted to employees with children or dependents under the age of 7.

How can I order Edenred Creche?

How is Edenred Creche delivered?

The company allocates the benefit to eligible employees. Afterwards, the employee receives an email confirming receipt of the benefit with instructions on the next steps to proceed with its use.

What is the deadline for making the Edenred Creche available?

The wallet is available within 24 hours.

Does the company have any costs associated with the solution?

There are fees associated with the solution. Consult your Edenred account manager for a personalized proposal.

How is the wallet loaded?

The Edenred Creche wallet is loaded in the Client Portal and is available once the order has been successfully paid for.

Is there any limit to the awarded amount?

There is no limit on the amount to be awarded to each employee. The paper voucher and e-voucher formats have a minimum value of €5 and a maximum of €999. However, for each employee, you can assign as many vouchers or e-vouchers as you need to make up the total amount you want. In wallet format, there is no limit.

Does the employee need to have an associated bank account?

No. Edenred Creche is granted in a 100% digital wallet format and there is no need to have a linked bank account.

Where can employees consult the available amount?

Employees can check their balance and transactions on the MyEdenred App or at MyEdenred.pt.

Does the amount of Edenred Creche have to be used in a single payment?

No. The employee can use the available balance in several payments.

Is it possible to make deposits, cash withdrawals or bank transfers with Edenred Creche?

No. Edenred Creche is a social voucher that must be used for the childhood and education expenses of employees’ children. The amount awarded can only be used for payments in the Edenred merchants network.

Under the GDPR, what personal data of employees is required?

The business relationship is established with the company and employees do not have to fill in or sign any documents. All that’s required is their name, surname, email address and VAT number.

How secure is Edenred Creche?

The wallet has two layers of security: when the benefit is added to the MyEdenred App and when the payment is validated to the establishment (via SMS token).

What is the expiration date of Edenred Creche?

The digital wallet is valid for 24 months.

If the employee leaves the company, what happens to Edenred Creche?

Even if the employees no longer work for the company, they can still take advantage of Edenred Creche until it expires.
