Edenred Creche is currently allocated in a single format: 100% digital wallet.

This solution offers tax savings to the employee, who is exempt from paying TSU and IRS on the amount allocated through Edenred Creche.

There is no limit to the amount to be granted at Edenred Creche, and it is up to the company to decide the amounts to be granted to each employee.

The company allocates the benefit to eligible employees. Afterwards, the employee receives an email confirming receipt of the benefit with instructions on the next steps to proceed with its use.

Yes, you can use the available balance in several payments.

Payments are made through the MyEdenred App (available for Android, iOS and Huawei, or at MyEdenred.pt). Simply add the benefit to the App, choose the establishment where you want to make the payment, enter the student number and enter the amount to be paid. Upon confirmation, the payment is automatically validated in the App.

Yes, just like any other invoice.

The amount awarded to you in Edenred Creche is exempt from IRS and TSU, so you won’t have to pay any tax on it. You don’t have to declare this amount in your annual tax return.

Yes, as long as you have shared custody and your child’s expenses are included in your tax return (your tax return will not show the child’s NIF).

If you are paying alimony without shared custody, you can also use Edenred Creche to pay part of the alimony, as this is also used for education expenses.

If you don’t have shared custody or pay child support, you can’t use Edenred Creche.

Before paying expenses in advance, you should check the reimbursement conditions with the establishment. In the case of expenses paid with Edenred Creche, Edenred cannot refund the amount.

Yes. The criterion is always the child’s age at the time of the award (i.e. the time it is reflected on the employee’s pay slip) and the level of education the child is in (kindergarten, nursery and similar).

No. Edenred Creche is personal and non-transferable and can only be used to cover the expenses of your dependent(s).

The wallet has two layers of security: when the benefit is added to the MyEdenred App and when the payment is validated to the establishment (via SMS token).

The 100% digital wallet is valid for 24 months.

You must report it to your company’s Human Resources department, which will analyze the possibility of resolving the issue with Edenred.

Even if you are no longer an employee of the company that awarded you the Edenred Creche, you can still use it until it expires.
