What is the Edenred education wallet?
The wallet is a way of allocating Edenred Creche and Edenred Estudante benefits. When an employee receives one or both of these benefits, they add them to their wallet in the MyEdenred App, through which they can make 100% digital payments.
In the case of Edenred Creche, the employee can pay for the services of establishments such as crèches, nurseries, kindergartens and the like.
In the case of Edenred Estudante, you can make payments to schools, colleges, universities and other educational establishments.
How does the wallet work?
It all starts with the allocation of benefits by the company, which selects the benefits and amounts to be granted to each employee on the Client Portal.
After the award, the employee receives an email informing them that they have received the benefit and indicating that they should add it to their wallet in the MyEdenred App.
As soon as the company loads the respective benefit, the employee can start using the balance in their wallet to make payments at participating establishments. All they have to do is select the establishment, enter their details and the amount to pay.
After confirming all the information, the payment is automatically validated in the MyEdenred App.

Does the employee need to have an associated bank account?
No. The employee receives the amount allocated by the company and uses the available balance directly through the wallet, there being no need to have an associated bank account.

Employees can check their balance and movements in real time on the MyEdenred App.
Does the amount of Edenred Creche have to be used in a single payment?
No. Employees can use the balance available in their wallet for various payments.
How secure is the wallet?
The wallet has two layers of security: when the benefit is added to the MyEdenred App and when the payment to the establishment is validated via SMS token.
