Edenred Flexível was created with the aim of responding to the different needs and interests of employees. As its name suggests, it is a flexible benefit because it can be used in the areas and services that are most useful to each employee, depending on their stage of life.
What is Edenred Flexível
It is an extra salary benefit that companies can give to their employees to support them in their education, training, health and social support expenses. The aim is to maximize the purchasing power of workers in charges that can represent a large slice of their family budget.
By providing greater liquidity, this benefit can be an important contribution to mitigating the effects of inflation and aims to facilitate access to goods and services:
- Education: schools, colleges, ATL, books and manuals, school supplies, computer equipment to support study, etc.
- Training: universities, training centers, language courses, etc.
- Health: consultations, clinical examinations and treatments, pharmacies, herbalists, alternative medicines, etc.
- Social support: nursing homes, day care centers, home support services, etc.
Features and how it works
Edenred Flexível is not a means of payment, but a benefit designed to guarantee access to certain goods and services. It therefore has tax benefits associated with it, both for the company granting the benefit and for its employees.
It is an electronic card pre-loaded by the company with the amount to be allocated, and there is no limit on the amount: the company is free to decide the amount to be allocated to employees.
The card can be used in all member establishments in the areas of education, training, health and social support.
To reduce its environmental impact, the card is made from recycled PVC. It is also more inclusive, with a round notch on the right-hand side that makes it easier for visually impaired people to control the position of the card at payment terminals.

Legal framework
Because it is a benefit and not a means of payment (in accordance with Article 48(c) and (d) of the Social Security Contributions Code), Edenred Flexível is able to ensure that the amount granted is actually used for education, training, health or social support expenses. Because of this guarantee, this benefit has a different legal framework. Tax advantages are granted to companies and employees:
- Total TSU exemption for the company;
- Total exemption from TSU for the worker.

Where it can be used
Edenred Flexível can be used in a network of more than 2,400 public and private establishments in our country. These establishments include:
- Education: schools, colleges, study and tutoring centers, copy centers, stationery and bookstores, ATL and others.
- Training: universities, training centers, language schools, etc.
- Health: hospitals, clinics, alternative medicines, pharmacies, opticians, orthopedic and geriatric stores, herbalists, among others.
- Social support: nursing homes, day care centers, home support services, among others.
Why can Edenred Flexível only be used in participating establishments?
This benefit can only be used in establishments that have a commercial agreement with Edenred precisely because this ensures that the amount granted by the company is used for the purpose for which it is intended (i.e. to support education, training, health and social support costs).
