Haven’t linked your Edenred card to MB WAY yet? 3 Reasons to do so

Did you know that you can use your Edenred benefits completely digitally? While Edenred Creche and Edenred Estudante work via the education wallet in the MyEdenred App, the benefits in card format – both Edenred Refeição and Edenred Flexível – can be linked to MB WAY.

If you have either or both of these cards and have not yet linked them to your MB WAY account, here are three good reasons to do so.

1 – Mobile payments

Forgot your wallet? Don’t have your card with you? With MB WAY, you can make payments in physical stores with your smartphone. All participating establishments that accept payments with Edenred Refeição or Edenred Flexível cards also allow you to use MB WAY via QR Code or NFC.

So use MB WAY to pay with:

  • Edenred Refeição: restaurants, supermarkets, cafés, pastry stores, bakeries, butchers, fishmongers and other food establishments;
  • Edenred Flexível: pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, opticians, stationery stores, bookshops, language schools, among other establishments.

2 – Shopping in online stores

As well as being able to use MB WAY in physical establishments, you can also make payments on websites and online stores. In this case, you need to select this payment method at the checkout and enter your phone number to approve the payment.

You can shop online with Edenred Refeição (at Continente, Auchan, Mercadão, 360hyper, Prozis, Celeiro, among other stores) and also with Edenred Flexible (at Wells, FNAC, Bertrand, Staples, WOOK, among other stores).

3 – Home delivery orders

By having your Edenred cards linked to MB WAY, you can not only make purchases in online stores, but also in applications and digital home delivery platforms. Some examples are Uber Eats, EatTasty or Dona Marmita, which allow you to order meals and pay with your Edenred meal card.

When confirming your order, choose MB WAY as your payment method and make sure you select Edenred Refeição (if you have other cards added to your MB WAY).

Don’t have your Edenred cards linked to the MB WAY application yet? The association process is very simple:

1 – Go to an ATM, insert your Edenred Refeição or Edenred Flexível card and select the “MB WAY/MB NET” option;

2 – Choose the “MB WAY Membership” option;

3 – Enter the cell phone number associated with your MB WAY account and then the PIN you use in this application;

4 – When you receive the MB WAY notification on your cell phone, confirm the last four digits of your Edenred card number and you’re done!
