End of school: 5 tips for entertaining children during vacations
26 de June, 2020
After a troubled final stretch, it seems that the youngest are finally celebrating the end of school. That’s right, summer has arrived and brought with it the end of the school year, vacations and… too much free time! Well, at least for the parents of our little students, who continue to work, many of them from home!
The truth is, if the kids have been busy with schoolwork over the last few months, now that the vacations have started it’s hard to keep them entertained. If your head is spinning, looking for solutions to entertain the kids during the vacations, check out the tips we have for you. We promise not to leave you alone in this challenge!
- End of classes, but not of assignments!
It may sound cliché, but there’s no better tip than this! Set timetables for the children and include the various activities, including important tasks that stimulate their sense of responsibility. After all, even though they’re on vacation, chores and routines must be maintained! With a well-defined daily timetable, it will be much easier to see when you can concentrate hardest and when it’s busiest!
- Games that require concentration!
Puzzles, board games, crossword puzzles… There are so many options when it comes to stimulating thinking! These are excellent activities that not only contribute to children’s brain development, but also keep them busy! The best part? Concentration is the friend of silence, so while they’re entertained, you don’t have to worry about noise interrupting your work meetings! - Are there any artists out there?
It’s important that, during the vacations, the kids continue to be creative and feel that they have something to give to their elders that is worthy of recognition! How about putting on a play? After all, who doesn’t love a late afternoon performance that lets everyone unwind? - Don’t give your body a vacation!
It’s essential that children expend energy, because if they don’t do it with their own activities, they’ll do it by interfering in other people’s activities, especially their own! Physical exercise solves this problem perfectly! A run, games in the garden or, if it’s not convenient to go out, a class at home – anything goes, as long as the body is moving! - An infallible move!
