The FOOD Barometer 2024 revealed that 88% of Portuguese pay more and more attention to healthy food and 51% of those surveyed have changed their eating habits in the last year to eat better and healthier.
At the same time, 83% of Portuguese think that restaurants should offer a healthier menu, with fresh produce, more vegetables, clear nutritional information and vegetarian and/or vegan options.
In this context, restaurants and their managers must adapt to meet their customers’ demand for healthier meals.
