Halloween at home? 5 ideas for a real Halloween night!

28 de October, 2020

The spookiest night of the year is approaching and, even with all the restrictions imposed on the Halloween weekend, there are still ways to give yourself a chill and give the little ones a good scare… in the safety and comfort of your own home!

If this year has brought us some serious scares, imagine what we can expect on Halloween night… But don’t worry, they can be a lot of fun! On a weekend when, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are restrictions on traffic, we bring you 5 ideas for celebrating Halloween at home with the little ones.

  1. Witches dress up at home too!
No party is a party without a costume to match, so how about combining the useful with the pleasant and making your own costumes at home, with the help of the children? The truth is that all you need is an old sheet, some scary paints and some “spirit” to make it a successful Halloween night!
  2. No Halloween without pumpkins!
Well, Halloween or not, the truth is that no one skips dinner, so why not make it even more delicious and… spooky? To make sure you don’t run out of the king ingredient for this Halloween at home, grab your Euroticket Refeição and buy different sizes of pumpkins. Use the filling to make Halloween dishes. Then challenge the kids in a contest to turn the carcass into the scariest lamp!
  3. There’s also trick-or-treating at home this Halloween!
Children love to celebrate Halloween, especially as it’s an excuse to go out in search of sweets when the sun has gone down. This year, choose to stay at home, but don’t forget the kids’ treats. If you do, you run the risk of making your Halloween night creepier than you expected… Why not have a candy hunt indoors, making sure, of course, that there are “surprises” waiting in every room!
  4. A truly haunted house!
If you’re going to play on Halloween night, then witches should really take over your house! Make the most of the decorations, the spooky corners and, of course, the real scares! Glue cobwebs on the doors, cardboard insects that fall out when you open a door and even a father ready to shout “buh”, hiding under the bed. Everything counts!
  5. The door of the year… and Halloween!
It’s not because you celebrate indoors that you can’t show the neighbors how original and scary your Halloween night is! Grab the kids and get to work, because the front door should scream “danger” to everyone who passes by! The upside? You may never have to install an alarm!

Now that we’re all prepared for what’s to come, let’s get to work! Let’s make this Halloween night a memorable party! You already know that, on this side, we want a Halloween at home full of scares…

Starting from July 2023, the Euroticket Refeição benefit has been renamed Edenred Refeição.
