Idealday 2021: Together against ocean pollution

Edenred makes a daily commitment to responsibility and a social role in the local communities where it operates. The Ideal Program reflects this commitment and has three main lines of action:

• Ideal People: improving people’s quality of life, whether they work for Edenred or not;
• Ideal Planet: preserving the environment and contributing to the sustainability of the planet;
• Ideal Progress: achieving progress based on strong ethical principles and a commitment to security and data protection.

As part of Ideal Planet, Edenred develops initiatives every year that unite employees around a goal related to environmental sustainability.

In 2021, the focus was on ocean pollution. Our country has a vast coastline and cleaning the beaches is crucial to prevent pollution of the ocean and its negative impact on biodiversity. That’s why the Edenred Portugal team went to São Julião beach in Ericeira and collected over 97 kg of garbage.
