6 de April, 2022

Do you feel you have little time to do everything you need to do in your day? Do you sometimes find it difficult to organize and prioritize tasks? Do you find it difficult to concentrate and focus on what you have to do? Nowadays there are apps for everything and there is probably one (or several) to help you deal with these challenges in your day-to-day life. We’ve selected eight tools that can help you to be more productive and organized at work, but also to promote a healthy work-life balance. Come and discover them with us!

1 – Todoist

Todoist is a “to do list”, i.e. a tool that allows you to create lists of tasks. These tasks can be grouped into projects, can be marked as recurring or priority, can have associated notifications and can be shared with co-workers. This application will allow you to always be aware of the tasks you need to do, better organize your day-to-day and become more productive.

Available: online, desktop application and mobile application (iOS and Android)

2 – Google Calendar

Many people don’t realize how many free tools Google offers. Google Calendar is one of them and gives you clear visibility of what you have to do in a day, a week or a month. You can add professional appointments to this agenda, such as meetings, but also cross-reference it with other personal tasks or events, such as meetings at your children’s school, birthdays, hobbies, your vacation periods and much more.

Available: via your Gmail, on a computer, tablet or cell phone

3 – Evernote

Evernote is considered one of the best organizational tools on the market. It’s a collaborative platform that allows you to manage projects, create tasks and synchronize them with the whole team, take notes, store documents and much more. With various plans available, it is also a suitable application for entrepreneurs and freelancers as it makes it possible to have business information and personal information in one place.

Available: desktop application, mobile application (iOS and Android) and browser extension

4 – Trello

Trello is also a project management tool that helps teams collaborate seamlessly. It uses the so-called Kanban board, which allows you to have a visual management – by columns – of tasks to be started, in progress, under review and already completed. Each task is moved on this board according to its status until it is finished. There can be team boards as well as individual ones, so everyone is aware of what others are doing, but it can also work as a personal organization tool.

Available: online and mobile app (iOS and Android)

5 – Pocket

How many times have you been browsing the internet and come across some content that interests you, but at that moment you don’t have time to look at it? This can happen in both professional and personal contexts. With Pocket you can save articles, videos, online documents and much more in a kind of personal library. This ensures that you don’t forget what they were about and can refer to them later.

Available: browser extension, Mac app and mobile app (iOS and Android)

6 – Forest

If your problem is getting away from your cell phone during working hours, there’s an app that will help you combat this in a fun and even environmentally friendly way. Forest is an app that uses virtual trees to encourage you to stay away from your phone. The longer you don’t touch it, the more the trees grow. But if you go to your phone before the set time, then the trees die. You can also compete with your friends, family and colleagues to see who has the strongest forest. This app also has a sustainability aspect, as users can convert the virtual coins they earn in the app into donations to plant real trees in deforested areas of the planet.

Available: mobile app (iOS and Android)

7 – Calm

Because your mental health and emotional well-being have a huge influence on the way you perform your tasks (personal and professional), sleeping well is an essential part of that process. Calm is an app that aims to help you improve the quality of your sleep and help you meditate, using relaxing music and sounds, stretching videos, breathing exercises and more. This can have very positive effects in terms of concentration and reducing stress and anxiety
