Edenred normalizes operations after malware attack

25 de November, 2019

Victim of a malware attack on its computer network on November 21, 2019, Edenred has done extensive work in recent days to restore the affected services. Gradually, Edenred’s operations are returning to normal. The latest-generation malware was quickly identified and had no ability to spread.

The rapid recovery of Edenred’s operations was possible thanks to the precautionary measures taken immediately after the attack, which included disconnecting systems to protect business activities and customer operations.

Based on thorough analysis, supported by forensic experts, specialized technicians and industry-leading investigators, to date there is no evidence to suggest access to or theft of personal data of any kind. Nor have any signs of contamination or spread of the malware to Edenred customers been found.

Edenred remains fully committed to ensuring the best quality and continuity of service for its customers. The Group has maintained a stance of total transparency and, from now on, this will continue to be the basis of its relationship with its customers, partners and users.
